Top 10 Dresses to Rent this Holiday Season

✨✨ Hello, Sparkle Season! ✨✨

If you’re drowning in invites and wondering WHAT THE HECK WILL I WEAR?!? to a million and one events already, I’ve got you covered. Because we all know there is nothing worse than buying a $400 formal dress to wear **literally** once (and all the environmental waste creating it), I am so excited to show you my fave rentals that you can rock at your next holiday event. When I started renting my sequins and ball gowns years ago, it was an absolute game changer. You save the planet and a ton of money and, I find, you tend to be a little bolder when you know it’s a rental. One shoulder? Rainbow stripes? Sequins galore? Let’s do it. Whether you’re looking for a full on formal gown (THE STUNNERS), a tried & true classic (THE STANDARDS) or something a little left of center (THE WILD CARDS) – I’ve got everything you need to look fabulous this #SparkleSeason. Read below for RentedThriftedReal’s Top 10 Dresses to Rent this Holiday Season.

The Stunners – Dresses to Rent this Holiday Season

  1. Aqua Strapless Illusion Evening Dress

Now this one is an absolute stunner – a true ball gown for your upcoming formal, black tie event or New Year’s Eve. She comes in a gorgeous sapphire blue that has a satiny sheen to it. I knew I had to wear her somewhere regal, so I posed this beauty underneath the Brooklyn Bridge. This gown is not just gorgeous, she has a lot of elements that make her a well crafted dress. The illusion neckline gives the appearance of a deep plunge while still giving you support. And, if I haven’t sold you yet, know that this beauty comes with every woman’s favorite feature: POCKETS!!! 🎉🎉

2. Hunter Bell Lawton Long Sleeve Sequin Dress

Could this be my favorite rental EVER? There’s just something about the tone of teal in this sequined mini dress that has my heart. It’s formal and refined while still having a little unique edge. I wore it to a fall wedding in NYC, but she could be great for a birthday, NYE or even a Vegas girls’ trip. The fit is absolute perfection and allows you to wear any style of undergarments. The balloon sleeves and keyhole sleeves make it fun, but the A-line cut keeps it conservative, too. I got complimented on her all evening long!

3. French Connection Long Sleeve Plunging Neckline Sheer Floral Maxi Dress

I saw this one first when my friend, ELYSIA, wore it at the beautiful Boston Fairmont Copley Square. This is one of the best parts of renting your clothes – it’s a real Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants! Or, of the gorgeous rose dress, that is. She made it look so ethereal, I knew I had to take it to my upcoming trip to Arizona. What you need to know about this dress is that is UNBELIEVABLY comfortable. There is a slim rose-colored slip underneath and you simply slip the embroidered tulle dress over it. If you’re interested in looking like a million bucks while feeling like you’re only wearing a nightgown, rent this baby ASAP!

4. ASTR the Label Sunset Sequin Jayla Cocktail Dress

This one was on my favorites list foreverrrrrrr, but certainly needs a festive atmosphere. So when I found myself going on a blogger trip to Paris, I stashed her in my suitcase for the Palace of Versailles! She matched the gilded Hall of Mirrors like the glittering gem she is. With striations of hunter green, black and gold, she looked iconic inside the iconic Hall of Mirrors. If you want a real stunner for a fabulous upcoming event, rent her.
